Nothing!
Everything! Twenty words not enough!

Toilet had been used in our room prior to our check in. Linens filthy. Room was so moldy I had an allergic reaction. Drapes wouldn't fully close. Vent covers broken or missing. TV didn't work. It was a completely disgusting experience and that hotel doesn't deserve even one star!

Drunks in hallway and parking lot were making noise late at night.

From the outside, with the lights and neon of it's new branding, the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg looks like a swank hotel. When you get inside, you realize that's just smoke and mirrors. I was unlucky enough to have a hotel room at the hotel the same night as a wedding - people from the reception spilled throughout the hotel hooting and hollaring at 11:30 pm at night. TV is old tube TV with remote that barely works. Not impressed overall. read more

Very helpful staff, and pleasant surroundings.

I would stay there again. I had not stayed there for several years. We came back after the renovation, and we were very pleased. It was the same, but better. Rooms were very comfortable.

Still provides Ethernet lines for those without wireless laptops.
Would like assistance with luggage when checking in and out. Air conditioning did not get quite cool enough.

Excellent for the price. Extremely clean and spacious rooms. Several cable channels compared to many hotels. Good location. Overall great hotel!

The hotel was conveniently located and the rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable.
No refrigerator in the room, no coffee in lobby and too few computers.

I liked the hotel and would recommend it. It was clean and comfortable and conveniently located. However, you had to pay to get a refrigerator, there was no coffee in the lobby and they had only two computers in the lobby for printing.

the location
they treated us poorly

after booking the hotel on priceline, i immediately called the hotel and requested two rooms next to each other and double beds in each room. they told me no problem at all and they made a note of my requests....when we got there, they said they were forced to "upgrade" us, what that means is they took away our double beds and placed the two rooms several floors apart from each other. the "upgrade" also meant they gave us one king bed in each room and what they called a kitchen (which was disgustingly dirty)... i told them we needed the double beds and they told me i had no choice and had to take what was available. this hotel needs to be honest with people when they call in advance with requests. when checking out, i talked to another employee and he said i shouldn't have agreed to the upgrade and i should have did a lot of screaming... this is not acceptable and guests should not have to barter and become abusive to get what was promised to them... the guy that registered us basically said something about what do i expect when i got the hotel using an internet service, that next time i should call in advance or arrival if i had special requests...i said i did!! and he said either take the room or you will have to go somewhere else... i already paid for the rooms! this is no way to treat people. read more

Everything was beautiful.
My stay wasn't long enough.

The bed was a piece of heaven. It was like sleeping on a cloud.

Location was good and the over all hotel was nice.
My room was small and bed was just a double. It was supposed to be a king.

I was staying near where I work since I worked very late and had to be back in the morning early. I was looking forward to a nice comfortable bed. My boyfriend joined me for dinner and stayed over night which normally would have been fine because I
always get a king size bed, but for some reason I didn't this time. I was so tired and it was so late I didn't bother to complain but I really didn't sleep well in such a small bed. read more
