The hotel definitely needs updating, rooms smelled, and the carpet was torn.

I've stay in Holiday Inn's for over 40 years, the one in Joplin looks it.

I liked the lobby and the bedding in the room.
I did not like the old carpet, old air conditioner and old bath tub.

The hotel was very nice for the price.

The room was very nice and couldn't have asked for more.
Free appetizer buffet is quite poor except for the free wine or beer. Would rather pay a few dollars and have at least one good item.

A very nice facility with friendly staff. If they would improve their appetizer bar somewhat, all would be great.

Like renovations of 5th floor
4th floor for smokers, stinky...

They are working on the tower floors to replace carpet in hallways. Beds are quite firm, not always comfortable. Like atmosphere and location.

Close to interstate.
Uncomfortable bed.

The matress was old and very uncomfortable. We heard doors slamming and loud voices well past midnight.
