Description of Holiday Inn Kyoto
The hotel is located in the Northeast part of the city, near Kyoto University. The location is convenient for sightseeing to most of the major tourist attractions in Kyoto, most of which can be reached within minutes by bus. The Kyoto Shinkansen station is 20 minutes away by the hotel shuttle bus (free) . The International Conference Center is only 10 minutes away. The hotel has shopping, dining, all conveniently located within the same complex. read more

Too far from Kyoto station.

Allover I liked this hotel because reasonable price and big beds. We saved a lot.

We used the hotel as a base to explore other cities, besides Kyoto. Their shuttle bus to the train station/downtown was indespenaible.
They should have one clerk on duty that speaks English well. Also, their two complementary computers are old and slow. They should be replaced.

This hotel was half the price of others in the area--part of this is probably because of the location, it is 20 min. from the rail station and 10 min from downtown. We saved over $1,000 by staying here, however, and it was well worth it. It is a very nice hotel and we ended up extending our four day stay to eight days.

Polite staff, free internet.

Polite but as I mentioned in an emergency but very hospitable to help out even though it would have been very easy for them. Disappointed compared to Australian or American hospitality that I would have expected for customers staying for almost a week at their hotel.

This hotel has a great view and is completely priced. I love the free shuttle.
It is 30 minutes away from the Kyoto train station, but the shuttle makes up for it.

Hotel is located 30 minutes away by shuttle from the Kyoto train station. Wonderful views, and a beer garden with breath-taking views. There is a mall and food court attached to the hotel. I would definitely come back to this hotel for a stay in Kyoto.

Clean, pleasant, spacious by Japanese standards.
Location less than ideal, but not bad.

Nice staff, clean environment, free shuttle to and from train station.
Hard beds and 20 minute bus ride from Kyoto town.

For the price, the hotel is pretty good. It is clean and the staff was very helpful. The beds were a bit hard and it takes at least 20 minutes longer if traffic to get to the main part of town. The free shuttle to and from the train station was very nice.

Close mall next door, free shuttle to rail station.

This overall was a great hotel. Good location next to a mall with groceries and food court. The hotels had nice linens and were very clean. Great that you can rent bikes there as well. I would love to stay here again.
