The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a frig. in the room.
The hotel was difficult to find and a fairly long distance from the Tube. The room was rather small.
This hotel provides all the comfort of a US hotel, minus a bit of space in the room. It was somewhat difficult to locate from the Tube station in a more residential and college oriented area of London, however its not terribly far from the great British Museum.

Hotel was nicer than expected, fairly new, clean, all in all a good hotel.
Location is not the greatest.
I stayed in London for 4 days and the hotel was much nicer than expected. The rooms are very comparable to Holiday Inns in the US in both size and quality. I have been to Europe and England many times and would say the room was larger than most and nicer than most. Although I was expecting two twin beds, I was surprised to receive a corner room with two double beds. I am not sure if this is standard or we were upgraded, but it was nice. The common areas were much nicer than the average London 3 star hotel. The only complaint I had about the room is the caulk around the top of the tub was pealing away and you could see a little evidence of mold. Otherwise, the bathroom was very clean, the shower was always hot and water pressure was great. Beds were comfortable, the rooms and hallways did not smell like smoke, the elevators worked, and all in all it was a good hotel. The only downside of the hotel is the location. It is a good 10-15 minute walk from the Kings Cross station, which wasn't horrible, but I wish the hotel was a little closer to the tube. There is a bus stop nearby, but the bus system in London is a little confusing so I couldn't figure out which bus to catch. I'm sure if I wanted to spend a few minutes figuring it out I could have, but I prefer the tube and didn't mind the walk. The staff was very adequate to handle my check in and check out and although foreign, could speak and understand enough English to get me checked in and out, and give directions to where I needed to go. They were also very polite and helpful. I did make a few 0-800 # phone calls and called down to the desk to make sure they were free of charge. The desk told me they were, but when I went to check out, they tried to charge me for them. read more

The staff was very friendly other than room service.
The breakfast was awful. The location was not where I requested. Not near the tube either. No 24 hour room service.
Very friendly staff. Rooms were ok but the TV was old and poor quality. Food was not good. The downstairs breakfast was awful. Room service was not 24 hour. They were not very accommodating and they did not understand English very well. Location not very convenient to town or tube.

Price.
Location.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the local tube station and is not conveniently located for any of the restaurants or sights typically frequented in London. Consequently, what you save on the room is used up in taxi charges.

Nothing.
Everything is below standard.
Crappy rooms, crappy service, crappy food, overpriced for what it is.

Nothing!
Location was horrible! Expensive to eat there! Uncomfortable beds!
Do not stay here! Location is far from any public transportation and the cabs the hotel calls for you are double the price of Black Cabs. To get to a bus, you have to walk about 1 mile up a steep hill or go the other way through a very sketchy area. The beds were very uncomfortable and the sheets were itchy. Also, the TV did not work. This is no four star hotel!

The concierge was helpful.
The toilet seat was broken. The comforter on the bed was torn in places. Very shabby indeed!
Poor location. Old and shabby room. Hotel smells like curry. More like a 2 star hotel at best. Needs major improvement.

Very clean, nice room- spacious and modern.
Hard to locate from the train station, took us about 2 or 3 wrong turns.
Clean, modern, close to the underground and train station, fairly safe neighborhood. Fairly expensive, but average for London, I suppose.
