Holiday Inn Minneapolis Metrodome

Friendly and helpful staff, great location for football games and enjoying the night life. Great restaurants within short walking distance. Superb value.

Location: Locals know it as the Holiday Inn "University" and smirk when you call it "Metrodome." The Metrodome is across the freeway and several blocks away. Cleanliness: The same sunflower seed was in place beside the elevator door during my 3 night stay. The bathtub floor looked grungy due to the non-slip surface. Value: Getting a low price on a bad room is not a good deal. Only smoking rooms were available at the low price and no effort was made to try to remove the smell. Front desk staff lied about the hotel being full when I requested a room that did not smell so bad. I woke up each morning with a raw throat and a head ache. I have slept in many a smoking room with no issue. This smoking room was awful. Towels were low quality and beds were bowed with springs popping underneath me. Not for business travel: The iron was rusty, the internet connection was across the room from the desk and poorly documented. All electrical outlets were behind furniture. The staff had great difficulty summoning a taxi on time and the shuttle was never available when we needed it. read more
