We had a huge room for a great price!
The pool temperature was a bit too cool and too much chlorine in the water.

The hotel is in a good location, walk able to most parts of downtown Portland. We were pleasantly surprised to have a room that was probably a suite. Though we didn't face the water, the size of the room made up for the uninteresting view. This is not what I remember any Holiday Inn to be like! The Holiday Inn By the Bay is more like a Hilton!

The swimming pool was great.
The front desk staff was all unfriendly and unsmiling.

Wonderful location that allows you to enjoy a great city easily. Parking in the garage very convenient.

Loved the restaurant, service was great and the people were very friendly.
Our room was not cleaned everyday, we were kicked out of the lounge because we walked in with a cup of coffee and told we had to purchase in the lounge.

Our room was not cleaned everyday. The person working in the lounge was very rude.

Location - within walking distance to everything; friendliness of staff and
parking.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of Portland, which made walking to nearby stores and restaurants extremely convenient. We were literally minutes from everything. The area seemed rather safe and we were comfortable walking the town at night. The staff at the hotel were rather friendly and accommodating. One of the great things was that the hotel had a parking garage so we were able to leave our car here. Not all other hotels in Portland had this option - or you had to pay for parking. read more

The location was convenient walking distance to bars, shopping, and dinning.
The television was very far from the bed (across a large room). It was rainy and the secondary parking was around the block and uncovered.
