Convince to airport.
Getting old.
It was perfect for us we stayed only one night on our way out from vacationing. We had 5 people in our room and was given a cot which worked out perfect. We did have the buffet which
I think is part of an all inclusive plan and it was expensive and disgusting. They play loud music and talking or games until midnight and we could hear it from our room. Our kids loved the big pool. read more

Great pool, and right on the beach.
Rooms were very small, too many children.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to enjoy Puerto Vallarta. It will cost you about 8 dollars each way to get into the shopping district. Okay for one or two nights, but very uncomfortable.

Very friendly helpful staff, location midway between airport and downtown, view from balcony.
Gloomy stairwells, stepping up into bathtub, morning coffee not available early.
Wonderful staff, very adequate facilities, easy access to tours, trips and activities, perfect location for someone who wants to get downtown but doesn't want the constant traffic noise. Beach and pool access excellent. If the hotel is full I would guess that there are not enough lounge chairs and space.

The location was amazing with great view of the pool and beach. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
No
AC in the lobby areas.
We asked for a room with a view of the beach and were provided a room on 7th floor right in the middle of the bay. The view was fantastic. Room facilities were clean and adequate. The location is most amazing!!

Great location, right on the beach, with plenty of space by the pool areas to lounge in the sun.
Room/lodging areas need to be improved and updated with newer furniture, decor, etc.

Right on beach, nice pool.
Major noisy construction project right next door.
This is mainly an all inclusive option hotel. If you haven't paid for these options the food is expensive. 1/2 the rooms are on the north side. A major construction project is started there. It has just started and looks like over 1 year or more is left to finish it. They work till 9 o'clock at night or later. All the construction sounds come right into your room if you are on that side. The views from that side are mainly now only partial ocean. We would not accept the construction side room. The front desk does not cooperate to get you a room on the other side. We were told that there were no rooms available. After much arguing we were told we would be put on a waiting list. That did not happen. After much arguing we were finally put on the list. We spent 4 nights in a room with no view on the bottom floor right across from the bar. We spent the last 3 nights on the 8th floor with a nice view. We do not go on vacation to argue. We weren't the only unhappy people. Since we had to spend so much time at the front desk we heard a lot of complaints i.e. TV¿s did not work, power out in rooms, no toiletries left by maid, digital clocks in room with wrong time, rooms not cleaned until as late as 4pm, dirty water coming out of the faucets when you first turn them on, rusty pipes leaving rock like deposits in bath tub, requests for service promised by the front desk or room service that never came through, floods from a surface floor drain when the bath tub was drained. read more

Great beach and pool. Nice marble floors in room.
Construction 24/7 blocked view of the ocean and was very noisy.
The floors and room were fine, except that there is a major construction project next door, which is ongoing through each night with lighting and loud equipment. There are no -- I repeat -- no ice machines in the hotel, though about half of the staff seems to think they are on certain floors. The others know that you can call room service to get ice. More than an hour later. This hotel is kid-infested, but most of them were well-behaved. The beach is nice, but the hotel is not near central pv, and there is a constant stream of people trying to sell you stuff, including an outfit called "royal holidays," which has a table in the lobby and has staff who are trained in harassment. I also received calls from these people, "complimentary" desserts delivered to my room (room service entered without permission). That took about 15 minutes to straighten out. I stayed in two other hotels in pv during the same trip. I would not stay at this holiday inn again. Also had one meal there. In two weeks in Mexico, it was by far the worst: enchiladas with, I kid you not, marinara sauce and parmesan cheese on them. Yuck. read more
