The Holiday Inn South Rochester (Mayo Clinic Area) provides easy access off of I-90 and Hwy 14, located directly across the street from Olmsted County Fairgrounds. The Holiday Inn South is also within close proximity to the Apache Mall, Mayo Clinic Campus, downtown area, hospitals, recreation parks, walking and running trails, Mayo Civic Center, golf courses and Rochester High Schools. The Holiday Inn can accommodate weddings, banquets, corporate groups, room blocks, tour buses and sports groups. Restaurant, Lounge and Outdoor Patio Bar on site are local favorites. Largest indoor pool in southeast Minnesota. Whirlpool, sauna, game room. Kiddie pool, aerobic exercise facility, and complimentary shuttle bus to the Clinic. The staff was exceedingly helpful, and responded quickly to our needs.

Nothing extraordinary,but very convenient, comfortable, helpful, and friendly staff. Having a restaurant on the premises was a definite plus.

We had outside/exterior room cause ways were filthy.

I felt that the rooms were clean but the main areas around the soda machines were very dirty. We had an exterior entrance with outside stairwells that were badly in need of paint and a good cleaning. The hotel seemed like an old Motel 6 that had been converted to a Holiday Inn. I had at 3 different times a staff person/maintenance person just open my door after a quick" knock. Not even enough time to say come in. Once I was half undressed. The maid call me on the phone at 10:00 A.M. wanting to get into my room even though I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign hung outside my door. The sad thing about this place was that this hotel is in Rochester Minnesota near the Mayo Clinic and I was their for treatment and did not feel well. I did not appreciate being woken up! I wouldn't stay again. read more

Nice pool area.
External entrance could see a lot of maintenance.

If you stay in one of the inner rooms (not an external entrance to your room) then this would be a nice hotel. Our room was not one of these which forced us to have to walk past dirty maintenance rooms.

Clean, accessible to main St.
Nothing.

Very nice stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I really liked that it is pet friendly without a lb. Limit.
