The Holiday Inn South Rochester (Mayo Clinic Area) provides easy access off of I-90 and Hwy 14, located directly across the street from Olmsted County Fairgrounds. The Holiday Inn South is also within close proximity to the Apache Mall, Mayo Clinic Campus, downtown area, hospitals, recreation parks, walking and running trails, Mayo Civic Center, golf courses and Rochester High Schools. The Holiday Inn can accommodate weddings, banquets, corporate groups, room blocks, tour buses and sports groups. Restaurant, Lounge and Outdoor Patio Bar on site are local favorites. Largest indoor pool in southeast Minnesota. Whirlpool, sauna, game room. Kiddie pool, aerobic exercise facility, and complimentary shuttle bus to the Clinic. Security is very important, member or Rochester Hotel Motel Crime Free Program, also on site security with electronic door locks, and free wireless internet throughout the hotel including all rooms. The kiddie pool was nice and warm.
We walked a few cold hallways to get to the pool.

Nice, comfortable hotel and very kid friendly. Kids eat free was a huge advantage.

The hotel bar - patrons have to go outside to smoke and they would stand right outside our room and it was very loud all through the night - not happy.

Need to find another place for smokers to smoke outside.

Not enough info travel brochures and no continental breakfast.

Overall, hotel was great. We have stayed here before. Definitely need a lot more brochures for tourists.
