The quality of the beds, furniture, and extras like coffee.
The maid did not clean my room one day.
Overall very good hotel. Layout is somewhat awkward, but it is one of the better places to stay in Estes park.

Typical Holiday Inn - Expensive price for mundane accommodations.

clean when check in, (but they didn't vaccum the room during stay)
don't like the location, the rooms are old
Choose the hotel only if you're cost sensitive (although it's not cheap either). I chose the one because in description it has internet and locate by downtown. However, they only have wireless internet, which has a poor coverage and is extremely unstable. After twenty minutes talk with customer service over my cell phone (the hotel charges for the 877 number) I got internet works for 3-minute period. I had to reset again and again to get the signal back. Very bad. Estes park is a very small town, so the hotel can claims that it is close to downtown I guess. But it's actually located on the edge of the town, just by the town exit point. read more

Very old, needs updating. Dogs howling, no sleep. The people next to me walked out of the room with 4 dogs.

I liked the way the pool area was set up - open, with other entertainment.
Meal was only mediocre at restaurant.

Location to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Facility appeared to be in need of a facelift. Showing signs of wear.
We had stayed in this hotel at least 12 - 15 years ago. It appears that the facility is in need of a facelift, after that many years any facility would need one. Outside appearance of lobby, sign, etc. Staff was courteous and nice, helpful.

It was the best property I saw like it near Estes Park.
The check-in person had me wait to check stating that the 3rd floor was too high without working elevators. Then placed me on the 4th!
Totally up to par for a two star hotel and in an excellent part of Estes Park. I was able to bike to the wonderfully coffee shop (Kind Coffee) along the Big Thompson River in five minutes and than meander over to Ed's Cantina for Breakfast before heading up into the mountains each day. The pool, restaurants, and bar were great and the staff was pleasant. I'd seek this hotel out upon return to Rocky Mountain National Park. read more
