Fresh towels, clean rooms, safe location.
Old hotel needs remodeling. I plugged my laptop then the next available plug for my cell phone was in rest room.

Clean rooms, fresh towels, good safe location. Thats all. Very moderate restaurant, average staff, they need real training to treat customers. Very old hotel, nothing fancy, very basic kind of hotel, needs remodeling.

Easy in and
easy out.
The room was a mile away from the elevator.

Off 287, no services nearby, nicer than your average Holiday Inn, long long corridors can make it a huge shelf from the elevator to your room.

In general, I am not a fan of Holiday Inns, but this location substantially exceeded my expectations for that chain.
Breakfast, or at least free coffee would have been nice.

Substantially better than I expected from the brand. Quite well maintained, clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice enough that the plastic cups (rather than glass) in the rooms seemed out of place.

It was very clean and comfortable.
We were not pleased with the limited channel selection on the TV.

When we arrived at the hotel the check in process was very quick and the staff member was friendly. We found the room and all the common areas to be clean and well maintained. There were a couple of minor complaints. We thought the channel selection was poor on the TV, the room had some cosmetic damage that could have been taken care of, and one day we had to contact the desk for maid service. We were also charged for local calls which were to a phone number in the same area code to a location literally down the street. Overall though, we were very pleased with our stay and the value we received by booking with Priceline. We would definitely consider the Somerset Holiday Inn for future stays in the area. read more

Good location.
Fitness center was small and the machine was out of order.

This was a very nice hotel and a hotel that I would gladly stay at again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Grass area for kids to play was nice.
Gift shop was tiny.

It appears that the hotel is cutting costs in this bad economy. Should not keep a 3 star rating.

Nice room and bath. Quiet. Good bed.
Sign on street was completely dark, missed it the first time. Not enough choice of TV channels. Could not access entertainment menu.

Fine for someplace to sleep. Nothing special. No indoor pool or spa. Long walk from elevator to room. Without the reduced rate through Priceline I would never pay full price, these places are overpriced for gouging business expense accounts. NJ taxes are ridiculous.
