Welcome to the Holiday Inn Capitol East, Tallahassee (Leon County), Florida conveniently located in downtown Tallahassee (1 mile), offering free airport shuttle upon request. Our hotel is easily accessible and within minutes of Florida State University, FAMU, Tallahassee Community College, the Koger Center, Tallahassee Civic Center, Tom Brown Park and the Tallahassee Regional Medical Center. Applebee's located in the hotel offers lunch, dinner and room service. Within walking distance is the Governor's Square Mall. The hotel is ideal for the government, association travelers, corporate guests, college sports fans and educational tour groups. The 1600 square feet of flexible meeting space is perfect for weddings, banquets and meetings. Our pet friendly hotel features 148 guest rooms with coffee makers, free wireless Internet access, free local calls, free USA Today, free business center, on site fitness center, free passes to Gold's Gym across the street and an outdoor pool. Our 39 deluxe guest rooms are additionally equipped with executive desk and ergonomic chair, refrigerator, microwave and filtered drinking water. The hotel has free parking and can accommodate tour buses and RVs. Pets are welcome, up to 50 lbs. (crated/caged). There is a $35 non-refundable pet fee per stay. The location to the College was convenient
Airconditioner in room too noisey, Hall had dryers for wet floors. Mold everywhere. The hotel smelled foul. Apparent water problem. Needs major upgrad

This hotel has a mildew, mold problem, The floors in our room were wet, the hall carpet was wet. The entire hotel smelled musty. It is need of repair.We were not given any bath towels. I called two times an hour apart to get some delivered and finally went down the hall and found a housekeeper, and got towels from her. Unusual that there were no bath towels, shampoo or any of those ammenities except soap. read more

The staff was very nice and friendly.
The hotel smelled very damp. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean but it did smell damp.

It has a restaurant in the hotel and attached. Also there is a fitness room and access to a gym.
It has smoking rooms and I was placed in one.

Although the staff was very friendly at this site, the hotel itself feels old and a bit run down.
