Close to Univ. of VA.
I have stayed there before, and the service has declined dramatically.
If you are visiting the University of Virginia, or the Charlottesville area, and want something a little better than a basic motel, this is a good choice. It is relatively close to the University and "The Corner,", has some dining options, although we did not try them, and is clean, although dated. Don't expect much service, though; even checking out took a while to get a clerk's attention. read more

I like the linens on the beds. They had a elegant look and feel.

Close location to UVA campus but not on campus. Near restaurants.
Hotel is a little old from exterior and rooms.
Good for the price. Clean rooms with standard amenities. A couple miles from campus but need a car to get there. Hotel shuttle to airport.

Staff very helpful, night staff funny and nice! Seems they enjoyed their jobs and liked helping others.
Hard to see at entrance/exit onto main road. Needs to be clearly marked so you don't pull out into the road like I did. Hotel very nice!
Arrived after dropping my mother off at UVA hospital at night. The evening staff were great! They checked me in quickly, were pleasant, helpful and made me feel welcome. They put me in a room away from traffic noise and the noise of the buses of kids staying there that night. The room was very clean, neat and beds comfortable. Bathroom was clean and without damage. I had to call the day before to request a double room and they were happy to arrange. Would use Priceline and stay here again. Location was good. Staff seemed hard working and should be commended. Thanks folks! read more

Incredibly helpful and accommodating staff. Really made to feel at home.
Pool had only ladders, not stairs. Difficult to climb in and out.
I consider the two days I spent at this hotel among the best in my life. I was made to feel like kin. One hotel worker, who carried our luggage, only reluctantly consented to take a tip! Another employee, when asked by my wife where to find a supermarket, offered to take us to one! I truly felt like a guest, not merely a client.

Location, convenience to entrance.
Stuck in a smoking room, even the tissue stunk.
I'd feel better if I had a non-smoking room. Interesting that Priceline got me in at a low Name Your Own Rate because they were sold out. Every hotel in town was full, the desk had no idea why. They were referring people to other towns.

Close to the freeway, quiet, roomy.
There were small ants in the room, on the nightstand and they got into the bed.

The rooms were clean and there were computer with internet access in the lobby.
The staff wasn't that friendly.
