New and clean, there is no strange smell in the room.
We stayed in a room right next to the elevator which was quite noisy.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. There's also a iPod player in the room. Loved their bath and body works, shampoo, conditioner and lotion set. Every morning there is a newspaper placed in front of our door. Great hotel at such a great price!

Clean carpet and bathroom! Good service and friendly staff.
Our room smelled like smoke all the time even though it was supposed to be non-smoking area. Parking was hard to find after 10:30pm.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 2 nights. Came to Richmond just to relax. We like the clean carpet and bathroom the hotel offered. However, the room smelled like smoke all the time even though it was supposed to be non-smoking building. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Parking is not too hard but get charged $5/night. Not bad I supposed but if we came back after 10:30pm it almost impossible to find a spot. Very convenient location though to restaurants, cafe shops, other attractions. read more

Parking not connected to hotel elevator causing problem in moving luggage from parking lot to hotel lobby elevators. No breakfast.
