Homestead Orlando-Lake Mary

The heat and air conditioner did not work and there were exposed wires from the ceiling where I suppose the smoke detector went. I had already settled in for the night before I discovered the
AC issue so I just let it go. I had wanted a non-smoking room but ended up with a stinky room with ashtrays.

Would liked a better view instead of a view of people smoking. I
am a non smoker and I would perfer a view of something else. I liked the hotel and would stay there again. Thanks.

Pleasant room overlooking courtyard and pool room has full kitchen and elevator to upper floors staff was super friendly and courteous.

Very nice people at the desk, talked to us always when we went out or came back asking how was our day or did we need anything while our stay there, very helpful staff.

The hotel was in a pleasant location with dining and shopping close. This was the first time I stayed in a studio room and like the size and conveniece of it.

Overall, it was very nice and appropriate for the reason we were traveling.

I've stayed in one or two worse, but not many. It wasn't visibly dirty, but just had an overall feel of not being quite clean. Linens on the pull-out couch hadn't been washed recently, there were crumbs on the sheets. The room was definitely in need of updating - several broken items. Carpet needs to be shampooed. The front desk was not very efficient. The first room they tried to give us had someone in it already or it was never made up. The second room they tried to give us smelled like rotten fish/bait. The third room was nice, but, it was an upgrade. The first morning we were there they had no cream for coffee. Staff said someone had taken the bowl they put cream in so they couldn't put more cream out. Would not stay here again. read more
