Description of Hotel Boulderado
Boulder's first luxury hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been meticulously restored to its original turn-of-the-century grandeur. The elegance of the lobby's stained glass ceiling and cantilevered cherry staircase, as well as the antique and reproduction furnishings, provides the ambiance of the past with the comfort of premium bedding and linens, complimentary wireless Internet access and luxurious appointments. Two expansions in 1985 and 1989 have brought the number of guest rooms to 160 with over 8,000 square feet of meeting, conference facilities and reception space. Q's Restaurant off the hotel lobby is "tops for food and service" by Zagat while the popular Corner Bar received a New York Times "best martini in town" pick. Hotel parking is valet only with an USD 8.00 nightly charge including unlimited in-out access. Valet parking will increase to USD 10.00 per night as of January 1 2009. read more

"They don't build them like this anymore" sigh nostalgics of this "grand" "Old West" National Landmark in Boulder (45 minutes from Denver) and "just a short walk" from the Downtown pedestrian Pearl Street mall; globe-trotting guests gawk over the "grand lobby" overseen by a "warm and inviting staff" that points foodies to chef John Platt's Q's restaurant "on the mez", then to "vintage-style" rooms with "quirky antiques"; but "stay in the old part if you can" because the chambers in the "new, modern" section are "sterile."

Funky, fun and immediately next to the best outdoor mall in America.
Pets not allowed.

If you have a sense of fun and travel to Boulder, you really should stay at the Boulderado Hotel. Located a block away from the Pearl Street Mall, what a delight to walk around with all manner of locals: students and street musicians and artists and faculties and even tourists. The Boulder Book Store might be the best independent book seller left in America. All the retailer show imagination and inventory of goods not easily found elsewhere. read more

The staff was very attentive and professional.
The walk from the entrance to our room was very long.

Very quaint and comfy. I like that it is an old hotel but they should update small things like fixtures in the rooms. Nicer sheets for the beds too.

The old charm and location.
The bathrooms were remodeled cheaply.

I think the hotel was somewhat over priced after seeing the accommodations. The lobby is stunning with a huge stained glass ceiling and Victorian decor. The walk down a hallway leading to our room was cluttered with dilapidated, randomly placed antique furniture; which created a storage room look rather than adding to the look and charm of the hotel. The bedroom was small, the bathrooms were disappointing as they were remodeled on the cheap and not in line with the Victorian period at all. The breakfast we had in the restaurant was top notch; great taste and presentation. They staff was wonderful in every way. read more

Location downtown.
Valet parking, parking charge.

The Boulderado was a well kept and pleasant hotel. The rooms were adequate, there was free wireless internet. The view out the window of our room was of an alley and nothing to write home about. Parking was $8/night with valet parking only. The valet's were always available and there was no problem except for the feeling that one could not just go out for a short drive without going through the valet thing. On the other hand, we didnt have to worry about parking to go walking down the Pearl street mall. The bottom line is that if you are staying in Boulder to be around for shopping or a football game, the hotel is great, but if you are there as a staging point to visit the mountains, there are more convenient places to stage from. read more

Very charming, very comfortable, wonderful service, even free internet access!

Absolutely charming! This beautifully restored hotel has all the modern comforts. A step back in time while right in the midst of an active Boulder night life.
