It was in the middle of the seawall and all the beach attractions such as restaurants and pubs. The hotel was very quiet and nice!

The hotel and amenities were GREAT!

Nothing.
Staff was rude, room was tiny and the
water leaked.

The tub was stained and gross, the faucets leaked at the sink, and the tub, the ceiling looked like something was growing on it. Breakfast was overpriced and tasted horrible. I called down for the valet at least 10 minutes before I was leaving and had to stand outside in the cold waiting for my vehicle, then was late the morning of leaving due to trying to check out and not being waited on, (to which I was given a blank receipt despite knowing I have charges! Still waiting for that) plus having to wait for the valet to locate the keys to my vehicle. read more

The exterior of the hotel was gorgeous. Like a hotel from the 30's.
The view from the room was definitely sub par.

A great hotel definitely a throw back to the classic 20's and 30's era.

Hotel was overrated.

Galvez is a Wyndham historic hotel. The entry was beautiful but the rest of it was no better than any other hotel. I would not consider it an upscale hotel. Only 2 small mirrors in the bathroom. No full length mirror. The staff was accommodating but was unprofessional. A kitchen employee stopped by to visit the front desk clerk on her way to deliver room service while the clerk was checking me in. She laughed and told everyone she had some time to waste. She also put her tray of food on top of the front desk between the clerk and me. I did not order room service after seeing this. The bartender at the pool bar had a lot of piercings. Interesting to look at but not professional. I'm glad I got this room from Priceline. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid the full price. I have stayed at other Wyndham historic hotels and this was the least impressive. read more
