Hipsters hail the "contemporary face-lift" that's turned a "formerly awful hotel" into a "gem" with "funky" "black-and-white photographs" of politicians and celebrities throughout, a "great" restaurant and cocktail lounge, and "beautifully designed" (although "small") rooms with iPod docks and Aveda products; sure, some say it may be "a bit pretentious for Portland, but that's what makes it fun."

Good location and friendly staff.
The room was unbelievably small.

The room was too small. It took me four trips to the front desk to get a key that worked. It never worked so they finally moved me to another room. The staff was nice and good location.

Excellent location.
The hotel Lucia does not provide free internet connectivity and lacks a pool or hot tub. It is a typical European style hotel that would appeal to bus.

The Lucia is a European style hotel that offers superior service. The bedding is top of the line and the staff is superb. The only hotel fails on is the lack of free internet connectivity and the lack of parking. Park at the US bank parking structure for $20 for 24hr with in and out privileges. The hotel is within easy walking distance to shopping and theater and a quick ride to the Rose Garden and Lloyd Center. read more

The staff did their best to accommodate us when we had some very noisy parties on our floor. They moved us to a new room the next day and apologized.
The speed of service for requested items like a pillow and comb was poor.

Rooms were gorgeous, though on the very small side. The staff was very helpful with making us happy by moving us to a new room due to the noisiness of our neighbors.

Very modern and very hip. Terrific beds.

I really liked this hotel. Very close to trolleys. The room itself was small, but very efficient. Super modern furnishings that were well designed. I definetely will stay here again.
