The main thing I like about this is hotel is that I feel very safe.
Noisy neighbors.

It was in our home town and very inexpensive.
Very dirty, dingy, bed very uncomfortable.
Howard Johnson's is an older hotel that does not have many of the more modern updates.

Cleanliness.
The hotel is half closed. The blankets and bedspreads have cigarette holes in them. All of the bedding is very old worn and dirty. Non-smoking rooms can still smell smoke.

The wireless was free and worked well.
Not luggage on rollers friendly. Many stairs, no ramps.
The hotel has probably been there from the 50's. The electrical outlets were poorly placed especially if you wanted to use a pc or even an iron. One multi-outlet for fridge, microwave, etc. and you had to keep unplugging and plugging in what you wanted to use. Many contract laborers stayed there beer parties, etc. Price was great, but you sure paid for it on amenities! Overall the place looked very run down, but the room was better than the lobby. Air conditioner smelled like cigarettes, though I had a smoke free room. If you're finiky, go elsewhere! Single women should probably not stay there! read more

Right off the highway was a major plus.
No fitted sheets on the bed, just flat sheets used.
The stay was overall pretty decent. Did however experience some children running in the halls and making some rather loud noises. Loved the fact that Friendly's was literally adjoined to the hotel, didn't even have to walk outside to get there. The room was cleaned well, and very comfortable to stay in.
