was overcharged.

Hotel and employees was fantastic but manager

was horrible. They should provide better management for patrons. I'm still struggling to get them to credit my card for the overage that was charged.

The accommodations were clean and more updated than some other hotels in the area.
The walls are thin and sound proofing could help.

We travel to this area often and have stayed at most of the hotels. This was our first time at Howard Johnson's in Santee. It was very clean. You need to upgrade the towels. They are very thin and rough! The receptionist at night was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. Microwaves in the rooms would be nice. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. The overall cleanliness of the place is excellent. They are feeding cats around there outside. Don't see any mice, so I guess that's ok. read more

The lady serving breakfast was very nice!
Check in clerk was rude my room's bathroom was very unclean.

My check in Clerk was very rude and unhelpful, however the lady working when we had breakfast was very nice. The bathroom in my room had blood spatter on the wall and hair all over the floor and in the shower. We cleaned the bathroom ourselves before using the facility.

It was very clean and accessible.
I can't be critical of anything.

This was one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in. The rooms were clean and quiet. It was close to restaurants and the interstate. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
