Good location - very nice looking.
Had to pay for internet access.
The hotel itself was very nice, but considering that it was rated a 3-1/2 star hotel, you should not have to pay for internet access. Every hotel I have stayed at in the last 18 months (14 hotels, 6 different chains) had free WiFi in all the rooms. You could get access to the free downtown WiFi, but not from our room. We had to go to the coffee shop next door, or one of several restaurants within a two block area. read more

Just the nicest place I have stayed in a while, the room was exceptionally comfortable.
Grand entrance was very quiet, setting off busy through fare, all plush very well appointed, employees all where above expectations, excellent stay, will stay again if Priceline connects me, thank you very much.

Coffee splatters on the wall by sink, dirty bathroom floor, security door not locked.
The bathroom in the room didn't have a toilet seat, the floor was dirty. By the sink on the counter, there coffee splatter stains on the wall that didn't get cleaned. It was very dirty. They never locked the security door, and that frightened me. Other than that, it was what I was expecting out of the hotel.

Room design feels fresh and designed for comfort.
The hotel staff does the absolute, the least amount they can, to accommodate guests.
This excellent concept hotel in a very busy area of Raleigh convenient to shopping, business, restaurants suffers from under performance - by its staff. The check in host concept is oddly awkward and cumbersome. Express check in kiosks(2 of them) were both out of order as the computer base was down. The singular worst part of this hotel is the staff that: A. Didn't care enough to attempt to make the hotel the best experience for their guests standing around the host station instead of assisting and B. Getting a huge attitude that guests were arriving expecting the breakfast service to be ready and open at 5 minutes before 7 on a Sunday morning. Frankly, the stations weren't ready at 20 after 7 but there was definitely no hurry to get things done - all met with a resentful leer. The trash bins in the breakfast area were overflowing at 7 AM - no interest in doing anything about it. Lazy, I think, is the best description for the checking and breakfast station staff. If you don't want to work, go home. read more

Felt like a home away from home. Classy and homey.
There were no towels in my bathroom and the maid was rude.
