Hyatt Place Rancho Cordova

I encountered easy parking, friendly staff and an easy check-in process. The room was much more spacious than I anticipated and this was very welcome. It included a wet bar, fridge, desk, living room area and bedroom area, split by a half wall. The large flat screen TV was split between the two areas, so it could be viewed by both areas. I didn't care for the bathroom door that automatically swung shut, nor did I care to wake up Saturday evening (my 2nd night there) and encounter a couple of little bugs (gnats, I hope) landing on my arm. The idea of a swarm or an army landing on me while I sleep gives me the willies. However, the continental breakfast was charming, and free. The budget hotel guest could feast on coffee, tea, juices, milk, toast, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt, hot cereal, cold cereal (in adorable dispensers). They also offered hot food to order, plus room service. The pool was small and I didn't know that they provided towels at the pool, and that you're not supposed to bring down room towels. That's not stated anywhere except the hotel channel on the TV. And, when I got to the pool, they only had 2 clean towels available. The people arriving after me were out of luck. Better towel replenishment may be needed. read more

This hotel has a unique room design, almost feels like a suite! All room features are incredible for the price would recommend to anyone!

The Hyatt Place is a recently remodeled hotel with modern design. My king room had a large and comfortable seating area with a couch, ottoman, desk, and kitchenette. The 42" plasma TV is between the seating area and the very comfortable bed, but it's on a swivel so you can conveniently watch from either area. The closet is a little awkward in that the opening is small and you have to reach back in quite a ways to access all of the space, but it wasn't a problem. The bath is small, as this is a converted Ameri Suites, but a bonus is that this is the only hotel I've stayed in that has quiet close toilet seats, just like home. The continental breakfast isn't the best I've had, but it is above average. There is unfortunately not a hot tub. Hyatt Place is now at the top of my list when it comes to chain hotels. Very good hotel with modern sheek design. Awesome service, room and awesome cost.

Very helpful staff. Great modern rooms. Nice little exercise room.

It seems that the hotel has put a lot of money into decor and not into the mattresses. Overall I really liked the hotel due to the friendly and accommodating staff and nice decor
