Hyatt Place San Antonio-Northwest

Surprisingly well built and well maintained hotel. The room was impeccable and clean. I especially liked the layout with the large sitting area, separate sink and toilet/shower facilities, and large wide screen entertainment center. The hotel spares no expense in providing a clean and vibrant atmosphere. The morning breakfast options range from a complimentary continental breakfast with bread, cereal and fresh fruit to a full restaurant menu. Every option was fresh and filling. My only concern was the staff response to noise complaints occurring one evening in hallway after 11:30 pm. Noise filters easily into rooms from hallways anyway so this was very disturbing. Had to call the front desk 2 times to come and speak to guests who were running up and down the hallway and screaming at the top of their lungs. After the second time, I almost notified the police but the guests finally quieted down. The front desk staff then found it necessary to call my room and wake my sleeping child to inform me that they had spoken to the noisy guests. The feedback call was not necessary, but a follow-up the following morning by management could have addressed the issue better. The front desk staff could not confirm if they have on-site security officers to properly address these issues. Otherwise, it was a pleasant hotel experience. read more

Good business hotel with the usual conveniences.

The hotel was nice enough. We stayed on Thanksgiving night after spending a day playing outside with family and spending the evening inside with many smokers - hopeful to get a nice shower and a place to rest from the day we arrived to find the hot water completely not working. They were aware of the problem (but didn't mention it when we checked in) and did not get it fixed until the next morning. They were not apologetic at all. We were VERY unhappy with their response to the situation. read more

The staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I refuse to stay anywhere else from this point on.

The hotel for the most part was nice and clean. My only complaint was that there were some hairs in one of the beds. I would stay there again. It isn't close to any of the attractions in San Antonio but its only a 10 minutes drive to the River Walk and everything. It was a perfect distance for us.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place North West while I ran the Rock N' Roll 1/2 marathon with a group of friends. The hotel staff was quick to meet our needs, and the room was perfect. We had space to meet and plan, the beds were super comfortable, and the breakfast was just what we needed. Downstairs open areas were so comfortable and inviting. We had a great experience at this hotel. read more

All things considered, I was not disappointed with the hotel though the bathroom door was awkward for entering.
