Great location, really nice hotel, and easy check-in.
Valet was expensive, rude bartender at big bar.
Overall, I like this hotel a lot, but it is very expensive for any food, drink, valet, etc. I would still recommend it.

Elevators.
Wonderfully located in downtown Chicago with wonderful views and a unique "Sky" bar, this is a nice place that has fallen about 20 years behind the times. Still requires a daily charge per computer on Internet (that's another $ 40-50 a day for a wired family)and doesn't have a decent coffee/Internet lounge. The first two days we visited (Dec 26, 27) the hotel was completely overwhelmed by a visiting group that kept the elevators clogged up with 10-15 minute waits. We started walking our 12 flights to save time. The second two days (Dec 28, 29) all services including elevator was fine. read more

The view from our room on the 27th floor was beautiful.
There were hair all over in the bathroom when we first checked in.
Was very excited about the great price we got for our room. The lobby and the room looked great at first glance, but after a closer look noticed the carpet was really dirty and there was hair all over the bathroom. We also had a problem with the hotel room service. We ordered dinner, and being on a budget I was well aware of what our dinner was supposed to cost. It ended up being double the price, and then when I asked for a receipt they told us it would take 20 minutes to print one out. Very disappointed in the costumer service. read more
