Just "outside the House of the Mouse", this "gargantuan" 1,500-acre resort is a "wonderful oasis" with "magnificent grounds", four "outstanding" Jack Nicklaus–designed golf courses and a "fabulous", "cavernlike" pool with waterslides and "hidden hot tubs"; even if some find the "cramped" rooms in "need of an upgrade", most vow that it's "still one of the best", with a "staff that can't do enough for you"; N.B. teetotalers might prefer the affiliated Villas of Grand Cypress, which are closer to the links.

Resort fee was ridiculous especially since we never used the pool or other hotel amenities.

Hotel is comfortable and clean. Staff is helpful enough.

My children love the parrots and the pool and the coffee bar for a quick breakfast in the AM.
The pool is cold.

Ideal location, recently renovated rooms. Excellent value. Renovation is in progress so there is considerable noise during the day.

Not enough shuttles to Disney. $18.00 resort fee!

This is a lovely hotel. There is construction going on. However if you ask for a renovated room away from construction, they will do everything in their power to accommodate you. The $18.00 resort fee is ridiculous. If you use the par three, the bikes, the lake, etc. I could see charging per activity, but not a blanket fee. If you plan to visit Disney, plan on not getting any money's worth from this resort fee. Also, there are only three shuttles to and from Disney per day. Plan on a lot of expensive taxi fees if you have young children. read more

Decor, design, and location was outstanding.
Pool was not heated, $20/day resort fee.

MORE THAN WE NEEDED. An absolutely beautiful and luxurious resort- currently under reconstruction-thus the great deal with Priceline. If you are at Disney all day, you do not get to do anything there at night but sleep. I was a bit disappointed that the pools were so cold - they are beautiful - caverns and all, but our kids would not swim in them because they were not heated. Staff was great. Everything was breathtaking - not a great place to take little kids, though. read more
