Modern, with nice decor and great gardens.
Little things that you expect in a hotel, were missing.
This hotel was great for location and view. The gardens and pool area were very nice. The hotel seems to forget the small things that people expect. No help by looking at brochures from possible tourist attractions. Front desk only recommends restaurants at places they have made deals with. Give you a card with their name on it, to present to the waiter. They also have removed the ice machines, and replaced that with signs to call room service for ice. At the checkout they give me a bill for incidentals (parking) a total of sixty dollars, which I expected. I paid with my card. A day later I found that after the $60 charge, they charged another 15 cents. Yes, 15 cents, for who knows what. It is not even worth my time to call and find out about this charge. This is a poor way to treat customers. read more

Water Slide and the
view.
Self parking $20 was too high. Internet charge/service was bad. Hole in the comforter.
Was pleasant enough, just a little rough on the edges, older rooms, holes in the comforter and cigarette holes in the cushions outside is just bad. Fix it. Parking was too expensive for just in a big industrial lot and internet was slow and too expensive. In todays day, just include it like every other hotel we stayed in all week. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The front hotel staff.
Valet parking was a bit pricey.
The staff was wonderful and helpful, the restaurant was superb, the room was clean. Overall I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very accommodating.
No room service after 10 pm.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I had been driving for 2 hours with sleeping children in the car. I thought I could order some room service when we arrived, but the kitchen closed at 10 pm, and when the staff recommended an on-site restaurant, they had also closed. My options were pizza delivery or granola bars as emergency food in my car. I wasn't very happy, I just remember that room service is usually available all hours at hotels like the Hyatt Regency. read more

Location.
Room was in the old run down section of the hotel.
Disappointed. It was a Hyatt and we expected the room to reflect Hyatt quality. The room was somewhere between a Holiday Inn and Motel 6. Just because you bid and get a five star hotel room doesn't mean you will stay in a five star room!

Very resort in style and the location was not inconvenient to Pacific and Mission beaches.
If you are looking for a hotel thats stylish and up - market for a few days of relaxation, I'd recommend this hotel, it was actually the best part of my vacation and it was very tropical in feel - Hawaii in San Diego!

Nothing not to like - the staff welcomed you in and everything was beautiful!
Far from downtown, but close to Harbor and SeaWorld.
Can't wait to go back. It was relaxing, perfect and the grounds were beautiful! The parking does fill up quickly and it can be hard to find a spot.
