Mattress was lumpy.
The Intercontinental was a nice place to stay near the French Quarter. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and tidy.

It was absolutely beautiful with the finest quality furniture and decor.
This hotel was located in a wonderful section of New Orleans. It was close to Bourbon Street and the Downtown section of New Orleans. The hotel was extraordinarily upscale and all of the furniture, draperies, bedspreads, carpeting were of the highest quality. It was a beautiful experience.

The beds and bedding were excellent.
Forced to use smoking room, no morning newspaper, luggage not relocated.
They forced me to move my belongings to a new room. All other rooms received a morning newspaper. I did not. I did not like the attitude displayed by the staff.

Friendliness of staff - extremely nice and helpful.
Location can be difficult to get to.
Intercontinental lived up to my expectations - it's a very nice hotel with clean, well appointed rooms. Rooms are a nice size for New Orleans and bathrooms were great.

The furniture in the room must have been at least 20 years old.
I have stayed at 3 other Intercontinental hotels and this was by far the worst. The room was dark, the furniture was old and tattered, there was no wireless and you had to search for an Ethernet cord in a closet to hook your computer up for internet. I never found the cord.
