Intercontinental Sydney

Great locale. Awesome staff. First trip to Sydney. Liked being close to Circular Quay, though now that we've been there, may pick a hotel on the other side of the quay.

The lobby is very impressive and partially is a historic building. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious and modern. I didn't like the adjustable volume for the TV in the bathroom. The pool had a strange smell and seemed in need of attention for a hotel of this caliber. There was a full service gym complete with free weights and a small selection of weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, etc. The best thing about this hotel is the exceptional and friendly staff. The foreign exchange services at the hotel were less expensive than could be found locally as there was no fee (the rates were a little bit less favorable, but I came out well ahead). Excellent location, easy access to the trains and the ferries. Great views of the Sydney Harbor bridge and the Opera House. Walkable distance to The Rocks area of Sydney, one of the prime shopping and eating areas. Walkable to Sydney Museums. The hotel is right across the street from the Sydney Botanical Gardens, one of the most spectacular botanical gardens in the world.

Clean, well kept room and hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of Sydney Harbour.

I really appreciated the excellent service at this fine hotel. From the reception desk, to housekeeping to the great folks at concierge and the hotel lounge, my mother and I felt very taken cared of all the way around.

From the front desk to the concierge to the lobby bar, all staff was wonderfully warm and helpful. Room was impeccably clean, with fantastic beds, perfect bathrooms and a great view. It was memorable.

My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental in Sydney recently and just loved the hotel. It's in a great location, close to Ferry's, Opera House, Park, etc. Room was beautiful, bed was really comfortable! Staff was just wonderful! When airport shuttle didn't show up, concierge immediately got us a cab. I will definitely stay there again!
