Description of Castello Di Velona
Until four years ago the castle was largely in ruins until the famed architect Alberto Durante transformed it into a modern hotel preserving its original features, including its imposing XII century watchtower, while providing every comfort for today's sophisticated travellers. Interestingly, the castle's existence appears on old maps painted by Ignazio Danti and preserved in the Vatican Museum, a copy of which is exhibited in the castle's library. read more
