La Quinta Inn Miami Airport West

Just stayed overnight.

I had the worst experience ever with my reservation. Since I checked in, they tried to downgrade me to a double bed room (even though I told them I had payed more for a king bed room), because they were overbooked. After a long wait, the receptionist gave me a king bed room. When I went to my room I felt the room wasn't cool enough, but I thought it was because they had just turned it on, so I went to have dinner with my wife and got back late at night. When we got into the room it was the same as before, but I thought it was because of a couple of wine glasses I had, so we went to sleep. Which we could do due to tiredness at around 3 in the morning. At 9'o clock in the morning I woke up scared for someone was knocking real hard at the door (even though I had put the do not disturb sign at the door knob). It was the AC technician who was scheduled to do the maintenance to the unit in my room since the day before. That means the receptionist knew about this problem from the beginning and just to get away from their overbooking problem gave me this room with AC problems. read more

Enjoyed all but the regulating of the room temp.

I called when I arrived at the airport and in 20 minutes the shuttle van was there. It was a fast check-in .Quiet night, we walked to a restaurant and gas station for supplies and went to bed. Next morning got the continental breakfast and called a taxi to the port of Miami.

The staff was very helpful, they allowed pets, which was wonderful for us! The breakfast was extensive for an express meal. The hotel was clean, located conveniently to all areas of town, and our room had all the amenities (refrigerator, coffee pot, etc.) Our housekeeper, was wonderful working around out pets. We will definitely return!

I've been to this hotel before 2-3 times. In general, I like it a lot. This time, the bedding did not appear to be as clean as it should be and bathroom, too. Globs of dust found under beds, too. Not the best of experiences. Hotel staff was good and helpful. Shuttle was on time.

Hotel price is okay but hotel staff can be more nice. First we were assigned to a room accidentally for an occupied room. When we finally got to the right room, we found some electronic equipment in the middle of the room. It feels like they are not checking the room properly and raises a question on their cleanness.

Rooms and lobby were excellent. The van should be serviced more often, tire was bald on the one side. Safety could be a huge factor the speed the van was driven. Language barrier is a problem.
