La Quinta Inn San Antonio Ingram Park

GREAT, especially for the price. No towels in room when we arrived, but were brought immediately when requested. Breakfast area was madhouse around 8:30, staff worked hard but unable to keep up with amount of people in the dining area.

This particular La Quinta was not up to the same standards as others I have stayed in.

Nice, clean hotel - staff friendly, however I had to go to the front desk because they did not replenish the regular coffee or towels on Sunday when they cleaned. If your belongings were on the bed, they did not touch the bed - which was nice, I felt like my belongings were safe. Good place to stay. It is an older property built when outside room entrances were common (I prefer the inside room entrances). It is very clean and well kept with courteous staff.

The location was good, close to Sea World and places to eat. The bathroom sink would not drain and the rubber matting in the bathtub was pulling up and away from the tub. The pool was supposed to be open by 10:00 am but was not, even after the front desk was reminded to unlock the gate.

Not the worst. Staff was very friendly. The cleaning service was not performed in timely manner nor was it cleaned very well.

This is not a LaQuinta location that I would ever visit again in its present condition. I was told that it had new owners and they were doing the best that they could. I was told that this location had been allowed to get in a state of disrepair prior to its new ownership. My recommendation was that they remodel clean and paint prior to making the rooms available. Our room had torn and dirty curtains, dirty carpets, a bathtub and sink that did not drain properly and an air conditioner that did not work properly and the plastic cover was held together with tape. The elevator was outside and filthy. Damaged walls and doors that would not stay open long enough for a disabled person to enter and hit the button. The pool was very cloudy and the bottom was not visible. The breakfast bar was allowed to run empty and become messy and dirty and well as the tables provided to eat on. I will not stay in a La Quinta again.

This hotel was ok if you just want a place to sleep. I would not stay there for it's ambiance. The ceilings needed repainting, it smelled musty and there was an old window a/c unit. The hotel provided minimal necessities. The breakfast buffet was stingy and closed at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, so don't sleep late. There is a Dennys right next door however.
