It was green, woody, nicely landscaped.
The rooms and bathrooms could use an update. Things were well worn and some in need of repair. The shower, a bedside lamp.
We wanted a hotel close to the Pageant of the Masters with a continental breakfast and this fit the bill. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was nice. Breakfast was very much so-so but adequate. The hotelin need of an update and repairs. The pillows/bed were hard, the shower had been patched several times, a lamp didn't work and the curtains/carpet needed to be repaired or replaced. Obviously this hotel has been loved a lot and it was full. read more

It had a tropical feeling. Location was across the road from beach.
Friendly staff, intimate setting, extremely good value for money.

The night desk clerk that checked me in was excellent. Saw I got best room they had!
Location seemed isolated and seedy.
When I arrived at this older hotel, the desk clerk was prepared and handed me my key. It did not work in the door of the room I was given so I went back down to the lobby. The clerk was very apologetic and accompanied me back up with a new key. Once there, he considered the room and said he decided to give me the room next to it instead. He went back down and in a minute he was back with another key. However he told me he decided to move me again to still another room. This one was a suite in the front of the hotel with ocean view and special luxury bed. It was just great and very kind of the clerk to do this for me. I had a delightful, quiet and comfortable stay and was very pleased with the service. BTW-The luxury bed was incredible! Like heaven! read more

Loved the location, which was right across the street from an amazing beach and park.
The room was nice but a little small.
A great little beach-town motel with a nice ambiance, beautiful garden setting and one of California's most spectacular beaches right across the street! It's nothing fancy but a terrific value.

I found the man who took care of the front desk was rude and would not allow our shuttle driver to use washroom before a long journey

Excellent location. Right across the street from ocean. Easy access to beaches.
Needs new mattresses. Everything else was great.
Highly recommended. Lots of beautiful plants outside. Great breakfast included. Has swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Easy access to ocean and beaches.

Ocean view, walking distance to beach.
The ants in the kitchen area.
The hotel was lovely and very quiet for being of PCH. We had a very nice room, there were a few ants, but not so many that we had to call anyone.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely plants, excellent location.
For some people it might be difficult, as there is no elevator for public use.
I would and plan to go back and use this hotel whenever in the area. Unfortunately we were so busy that we spent little time there. My husband and I said that next time we will absolutely spend more time there.

I liked the beach across the street and that it was close the Montage Resort the park and beach were very nice.
We were located next to the maid/maintenance room and there were sometime noisy.

I loved the atmosphere around the rooms, very private like no one else was there.
The bathroom was impossible to keep warm, there was a constantly open window, and it was pretty chilly outside.
I was pleased with the service, and beds were very comfortable. I would defiantly recommend this Best Western to friends and family.
