The location was awesome - the beachfront spectacular.

All of the rooms are oceanfront with balcony. Lots of shops in and close to the hotel. Roof top dining was nice, although the food could have been better. The beachfront was spectacular - clean and close by. Walking into town was only about 2 blocks with plenty of restaurants and shops. I will definitely plan another stay at this hotel.

The view from the balcony - magnificent.
The beds were not so great.

The staff I came into contact with were polite and informative. The hotel is in within walking distance of many beach restaurants, shops and a pier. It's a bit old, but the view is spectacular.

It was beach front property, we love the beach.
It seemed old, dirty, no security, anyone off the street has access to the room floors.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in my age category. I was embarrassed to say I stayed there. When people in Marco Island asked where we stayed in Ft Myers, I avoided answering.

It was right on the beach.
The people hanging about were not my style, lot's of tattoos, bikers and rednecks.

Nice place for the money - hope you like bikers hanging around.

Was right on the beach.
It was a real dump.

This hotel should be talked off the list. We wanted to leave it was so bad!

Hottest spot for spring breakers on Fort Myers Beach.
Too expensive for the quality of the room.

I've been going to Lani Kai for over 10 years is by far the best place for spring break on Fort Myers Beach, people going on spring break would be very happy with Lani Kai. Not very family friendly this time of year!

It was right on the ocean.

This hotel is perfect for the very young spring break traveler who is looking for sun, drinking, and a lot of loud music. Not for families who are looking for something a little more subdued, and family orientated.

Hotel is right on the sand!
The downstairs bar blasts rap music.

Wonderful location, directly on the sand. All rooms have balconies looking at the ocean. Room had a fridge, microwave, sink and couch. Cable signal average and the channel lineup was weak (FX, NBC, ABC, FOX, CNBC, etc.) The free wifi went in and out. The hotel owns the beach (only hotel that does) so you are allowed to drink on the sand in their beach area. No cars on the beach with lots of shells! Rooftop bar and restaurant with outdoor booths that swing. Few gift shops on property as well. Thick sliding glass doors block out the downstairs activities, however you can hear your upstairs neighbors close them/open them. read more

Location plus the staff was awesome.
The elevators need an upgrade. The safety railings on the sky deck and room balcony need to be more sturdy.

The staff is the best thing the hotel has going for it other then the absolutely beautiful location and views. It appears to be an older hotel that needs a little work done to it.

The room was halfway decent, if you didn't look at the bathroom.
Drunken people everywhere! Very loud music all night. Did not feel safe or comfortable.

This is the worst room I've ever had. When we arrived, drunken people were fighting and my fiancé had to stay in the car to ensure our things would not be stolen. When I checked in at the front desk, I was harassed by a very intoxicated man. The man at the desk said nothing to stop this. When we arrived at the room, I was surprised that it wasn't half bad, as long as you didn't focus on the bathroom. I did not feel safe in this room. There were windows to the hallway, and the air conditioner room had a huge vent which could be removed for entry. Also, the balcony had a makeshift lock to keep it shut. We had to wake up at 5 a.m. for a flight, and until four, the bars, both upstairs and down, were loud enough to keep us awake. I would never recommend this to anybody. read more
