Very tasteful interior, very quiet rooms, great X-mas decoration.
Pool is too warm for lap swimming, although it would be big enough.
I was very surprised about the great quality of the hotel. Very friendly staff, spacious room, great pool and wonderful contemporary X-mas decoration.

Nothing - the hotel would not honor the reservation.
The hotel would not honor my reservation.
This hotel claimed that it did not have my reservation, then it said the reservation was made with booking.com (not priceline.com) and that it was fully booked. They tried to send me to other hotels for double the 99E cost that my booking was for. I finally found an email from priceline.com (not booking.com) telling me to phone the hotel - but of course, I did not check my email until after I got to the hotel. Thus, I was sent wandering around Munich with 80 pounds of luggage looking for a hotel. We all know that hotels always have some sort of room available but this hotel merely sent me out into the street, claiming that it had no responsibility to honor the booking. read more

Largest LCD TV I've ever had in a hotel (42" or 46") and easily the best and newest looking washroom of my European trip.
Deceptively long walk to room from elevator; mattress and bed spread could have been more luxurious.
Very conveniently located across from Munich's main train station on the Bayerstrasse side, with friendly doorman and desk staff. Room size was decent by American standards, TV incredibly large (biggest LCD I've had in a room) although not much to watch on it and washroom far superior to any other I've had in a European hotel yet (granite counter, separate shower and even the tiles looked new). Room included a large electronic safe that memorized my code between openings, a bar fridge, high-end toiletries and free slippers, plus a complimentary glass bottle of water. All rooms also include a Juliet balcony for overlooking the street or courtyard. read more

It's located right near the train station.
It lacks character.
A good business class hotel with a central location right near the main train station. In my opinion however, it falls below the luxury category.

The location across from the main train station is super convenient and the property is quite stylish.
Too much smoking and no non-smoking areas leaves the hotel bar, lobby, and restaurant difficult to stand!
This property is a short walk from the main shopping area of Munich but is very convenient to the train station (and to direct rail and bus connections to the airport). The public areas and rooms are very stylish and modern, if you want Olde Worlde charm, this is not the place, but if you want urban elegance you will love it. The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center, and spa (Futuresse) in the basement. The pool is lovely, but be forewarned--the sauna is mixed-gender and bathing suits are not worn. The staff was pleasant enough but not overly friendly. I was told that a non-smoking room would be an extra 20 euros per night, which I paid. The bed was rather too firm for my tastes but comfortable. I loved the bath amenities and the separate tub and shower in the spacious bathroom. Breakfast was 20 euros for the buffet in the restaurant, or you could opt for the 7 euro option (coffee or tea and croissant) in the bar. All in all, I liked the hotel and would recommend it. read more
