A "big", "welcoming" "kid-friendly" "monster resort" "off the beaten path", this "pleasant surprise" on Coronado Island feels like it's "far from civilization"; with a "friendly staff" and lots of activities, including a "fantastic spa", three lighted tennis courts, three pools, gondola rides, a surfing academy and direct access to Silver Strand beach, some can overlook "average" rooms.

Room & view were lovely, very large; wonderful bathroom with glass enclosed shower
and giant tub.
Kept forgetting cups so we could use the coffee maker $22 / night for parking with no other options.

It's lovely and very quiet and relaxing, partly as a result of being 5 miles along the strand from anything else. Enjoyed picking some oranges for breakfast from the trees outside our window. Pleasant views of the city and bay.

This is a beautiful hotel. Loved it.
Food was greater, waitress very slow.

I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The view from the room was spectacular. I loved the place and will be back. Very pet friendly.

It was a minor detail, but the service in the restaurant wasn't great.

Great hotel! I would stay here again in a heartbeat, especially for the price we got through Priceline.

Front desk staff was terrific.
Room carpet and furnishings are outdated. Also, noisy children on hotel balconies.

Not as close to Coronado restaurants and Gas Lamp as advertised. It's $20 in a cab to get to the closest restaurants. This hotel has a lot of kids and the way it's designed, expect someone's kid to wake you up in the morning. Hotel balconies face each other, making for a nice echo effect. The saving grace of our visit was a very helpful front desk staff.

Parking was $22/day but not in city - no way to get there other than drive should not charge city parking charges when not in city.

Color scheme, staff, comfortable beds, actually everything was lovely.
Food was slow in coming after it was ordered.

I can not think of any other thing I did not like about our stay at the hotel. I especially liked being able to participate in a daily Yoga class and the ability to walk comfortably in the area. We really felt well cared for at this hotel.
