It was very nice and clean.
The bar area was not big and the service was slow, the bar area needs to be improved.
Very nice and good location.

I
liked the convenience to major attractions and the solicitous staff.
The swimming pool was under renovation.
I like to think of the Lord Elgin as a home away from home. it is close to the downtown, excellent staff. A pleasure once again to be there.

The location was amazing and the buffet breakfast was exceptional.
The rooms did not have much natural light, we paid for an upgrade to get more light.
Like many old hotels, the Lord Elgin was in a renovation cycle. We could not use the pool. The exercise facility was tiny but very clean. This was a great getaway for a weekend hotel. The room was quiet. We were comfortable.

We liked that the hotel was super clean and that they would deliver Starbucks coffee and treats in the morning.

We loved the old style postal chutes on each floor. Sent ourselves a postcard.
The mattress in our room was not comfortable. We had a poor sleep and were sore the next morning.
The staff were friendly from start to finish, even beyond checkout. The hotel was beautiful. We loved the art deco feel that was maintained throughout. We especially loved the old style postal chutes. We were situated a very short walk from everything. We will definitely visit again.

Close to everything.
Staff did not speak French. Room wasn't soundproof so we heard a lot of sounds during the night.

Location is central to downtown Ottawa and restaurant offer a half price discount for kids.
Pool area was not great.
Not pleased with the pool area and not pleased that free internet access from the room was not available but for the price we paid, we still got good value and the location cannot be beat in downtown Ottawa.

Night staff were very helpful in resolving problems with the reservation.
Valet parking was $23/day plus the bellman expected at least $4.
Hotel was great if you upgraded to better room - mattresses in room booked by priceline were hard and uncomfortable.
