M-Star Hotel Bedford

Poor housekeeping, dirty sheets, rusty sink. Good price if you have to stay in Bedford.

I purchased a nonsmoking room with a queen bed. When I arrived at the hotel, the guy at the desk gave me a keycard to room 313. I walked up to that room, but the key didn't work. I walked down and he gave me another keycard. I walked up and that didn't work either. I walked down and the guy acted like I was an idiot. I follow him back up the stairs and there is now a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. He messes around before finally concluding that there was already someone in the room he assigned me. We go back down the stairs, and he says that my new room is 305 and that is the only room available. I go back up the stairs and find that my room is a smoking room with a double-bed. There is ash spread out all over the tables and there are pubic hairs in the bathroom. The water ran in the toilet all night. By this point it was very late, and I just went to sleep. read more

This hotel is so dirty it was virtually unlivable. If it hadn't have been nearly midnight when I checked in I would have not stayed there. It should be off your list of hotels!

A typical adequate budget-price motel, convenient to the interstate.

I would have enjoyed my stay if the room didn't smell so badly of pine-sol. It smelled like the cleaning person used a full bottle when they cleaned the bathroom. I could not get rid of the smell. I aired the room out as best I could, but in the end I just kept the bathroom door closed. I endured the smell while in the bathroom. The room was nice otherwise. The morning breakfast wasn't much, but better than nothing. That was my only dining experience in the hotel. I don't think they had a restaurant in the house. read more
