Mainstay Suites Hayward

2 adult employees on business. Only a single bed, charged extra to accommodate, room was not made up, decaying food in the fridge, mold growing in the coffee pot. Took over 2 hours to send someone to clean. Heard gunshots at night.

Quiet, convenient, clean, wireless high speed internet, kitchenette was great and saved on the restaurant bill. All in all a very nice and pleasant place to stay.

When I first entered the room I smelt the distinct odder of smoke. I went to the clerk immediately and he returned with me and upon entering the room again, I smelt the smoke but he did not (he was a smoker). After about an hour of trying to acquire another room, I chose to stay. The clerk did spray the room and the odor was reduced considerably. The smoke detector in the room had been removed (I did not notice this until the next morning). But after this experience, I do not think I select a hotel like this again. This hotel was the worst experience. The room had an overpowering smell of urine. The staff was preoccupied; although front desk did try to accommodate and bring blankets and pillows, they were stained & w/o pillowcases. I checked out of Mainstay that Sam

Located in the Heart of Silicon Valley, across from the best Sushi place in the SF Bay Area. This is a facility that far exceeded my expectations in the way it was managed and maintained. The facility is spotless, housekeeping to the finest detail, such as dusting the mattresses, good continental breakfast. Wireless Internet Access.

Very good values for the money. This hotel is like an extended stay place with cooking utensils, stove, fridge etc. Great breakfast.

Heated pool, internet access, continental breakfast even had 'make your own waffles', seems to be well insulated for noise. I was behind the elevator and didn't know it. Staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in was all done except for the door keys before I even arrived. We were visiting my sister who was staying in another motel with a school group. She was impressed with my room and the common areas. This was a great experience. read more

great place to stay, would recommend it to many people I know that need a place to stay for great lodging.

Clean, functional hotel. Nice kitchen efficiency. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was okay. Marginal neighborhood.

Absolutely superb, clean friendly and very affordable along with a great place to stay. I will stay there again and again
