Parking $49, Small cheap bottle of wine in room $24.
Rooms are small but have an old world style. Parking is expensive at $49 a night for guests.

Friendly staff, view, location.
No free WiFi!
Overall, well worth the (priceline) price! The valet's, bell hops, front desk staff, and housekeeping were all very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is not stuffy, has a down to earth feel. A very special place with a long history and priceless 360 degree views.

The service staff was superior. Room, view and Top of the Mark wonderful.
This does not apply.
For attentive service, cozy romantic room, view and all around beauty, the Mark Hopkins is the perfect spot.

Historic hotel, great views from top of the hill and was
nicely furnished.
Loud, slamming door locks, steep WiFi charge and an
indifferent staff.

The view was great. The room was cozy - not too big, but was comfy.
I chose a 4 star hotel because I thought the beds would definitely be comfortable. They were saggy and hard. The down mattress topper was no help.
Beautiful hotel with a lovely view, but snooty staff who let me drag my suitcase up the stairs and didn't even open my door. I guess if you don't arrive in a limo or a cab, your not really very welcome. If they give you a room at the back of the hotel, ask if you can change. I didn't pull the night curtains because it was dark when I went to bed and at 5:30 a.m. I was awakened by lights that turned on outside my window. Top of the mark at the top of the hotel gives a fantastic view. Pricey as one would expect, but good food. read more

Beautiful hotel.
Very tiny bathroom - stand in tub to shut door.
Beautiful five star hotel I got cheap on Priceline. I always ask for a high floor (view) away from the elevator (noise). Business trip, just me, one night. They put me on the third floor across from the elevator. I complained but they said that's all they had. The The Mark Hopkins International had a chance to lock me up as a future guest (we visit SF a lot) and they didn't. Back to the Fairmont or Omni. read more

Very attractive inside and out with good location.
$52.00 a day parking fee was extreme.
Great location for a romantic getaway. Good access to public transportation. If you need to have a car for sightseeing, get one for the day only so you don't have to pay for hotel parking. My wife and I were able to walk to everything we wanted to see downtown, Chinatown, Wharf and North beach as well as many others.

My room was dirty when
I arrived, the staff at the front desk and the staff at the bar upstairs were terrible to deal with.
