Excellent location, no sounds from outside to be heard while at very busy streets.
Ticking noise from airco woke us up at night, room got hot without airco.

When in a busy town like London, it is really great to be able to come to a quiet place after a day in the rush. If only they could do sth about the ticking noise that came out of the airco (5th floor room). It woke us up teh first night; We swtched it off but then it got realy hot in the rooms. (weather was exceptionally hot when we were there).

Room was quiet.
Not customer oriented.

I don't think the doorman should have to go find someone to work the front desk. When I am checking in after 4 pm I expect there to be a room available and not have to wait 30 minutes. I don't like having to tell staff repeatedly I don't want to wait in the cafe where they can forget about me. I don't want to listen to staff discussing their problems with their job while I am waiting. I don't like having an opinion survey placed on my pillow every night. I like to get wakeup calls I ask for. Never found a hair dryer but had a wooden box with a shoe bag on my bed every night. read more

It seemed as if this hotel was designed just for us, women travelers; had perfect staff, room and amenities.

We stayed in 3 different hotels during this, our mother daughter trip, to Paris and London (other hotels were Paris Westin and Crowne Plaza-The City). This hotel was the best of the hotels. The beds were incredible, the staff fantastic. They seemed to magically appear when we needed anything. We loved the women's magazines and cookies and tea in the room, and view of the park from our room. The location could not be beat! Tons of shopping, food and underground right out the door. read more
