We were given an inside room
and the window had a direct view of the elevator lobby for our floor, not private
and noisy given proximity to the elevator.

and sufficient common areas for socializing. The rooms are tastefully decorated w/ a nautical theme. High end sample products in the bathrooms. Friendly reception staff. Helpful although somewhat overbearing concierge. Ample garage parking, however a compact car is highly recommended given the tight parking spaces. Huge negative was the lack of free internet service in the room. read more

Parking full but front desk night person took care of personally.
Great hotel with fine decor and comfort. Have stayed there many times and would not hesitate to stay there anytime.

The location was perfect for seeing Newport.
We had to call for a number of maintenance issues.
The hotel location is great. The staff is very friendly and responsive. We had to call for a number of items, such as: internet service didn't work immediately, the blow dryer broke and one of the phone extensions broke. We only were there for a short stay so that was a bit much.

The location is great and there was free parking.
The window of the room faced an indoor walkway.
We enjoyed our stay, the check in process was quick and easy. The room was immaculate and stylish.

Couldn't get hot water in the shower. Charge for parking.
All in all it was a pleasant stay. But not quite what I expected for 3.5 stars with an average room price. Check-in was easy. Staff was helpful and courteous. The first room they sent us to, with the king size bed, had an interior window, which we were made aware of. However, the interior window, literally opened out to the elevator. We would have had to keep the heavy blinds drawn the entire weekend. The staff switched us to another room without any trouble. But this room had two doubles. Not so romantic for our romantic fall weekend. But comfortable enough. Beds were comfy, room was clean and had a view of the water. Ordered room service for breakfast. Which arrived like warm and was okay, but again not 3.5 star in my opinion. And for some reason they wouldn't put the breakfast on the card we had given them for incidentals and had to come back and ask for cash payment. Luckily we had it, but that was a bit inconvenient. The concierge, laughed at us when we can down to ask for a cab. Not the way I would typically expect a concierge to react to a request from a guest. She eventually did get us a cab, not sure exactly why she hemmed and hawed about it the way she did. The next morning the bellhop was extremely helpful in suggesting a great place for breakfast and the service person at the desk was really great about letting us stay parked all day even after we had checked out of the room. Good experience overall, but definitely glad I didn't pay more for the room. read more

Great location and fair price through Priceline.
Additional charges once we got there.
Additional fees were added to our stay once we got there. For example, we were charged $20 to park. Our friend who also stayed there did not get charged this fee. I stayed at this same hotel 6 weeks before and did not get charged additional car fees.
