Great accommodations--in "like new" concition in every respect.. Would stay again and recommend.
No negatives.

The Marriott San Diego Del Mar looked like a brand new hotel--the room was nicely furnished with all the amenities to be expected in a "class act". The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

stylish modern.
Restaurant food menu was limited and VERY pricey, but was good.

We stayed one night (a getaway from our 4 kids) and had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Happy hour looked very popular from where we were sitting, maybe we should have checked into that. Room was very nice, except for the down comforter and pillows (I have feather allergies). There was a fridge in the room, coffee maker, etc. Strange long delay time changing channels with the remote, maybe a cable issue. Overall an excellent experience and a pleasant escape. read more

Hotel is modern and recently upgraded.
Night staff at the front desk was indifferent to the point of in polite.

The hotel is modern and in a good central location. However, some staff had an indifferent attitude which is not typical for hotels in this category.

Loved the outside pool area with fire pits and seating.
Can't think of anything.

I was very happy with my room, the bed and bedding were very good and comfortable--the room was clean. My first night my guest and I enjoyed the outdoor lounge area and then had an excellent meal in the bar. The restaurant looked inviting but I had other plans my 2nd night,although 3 of us had "nightcaps" outside ---- Good!
