I liked all the open space, huge lobby with dome ceiling, living room area on each floor in front of the elevators, etc.
One of the concierges (the one that hleped us) did not know that the Marine Corps Marathon closed some of the streets. Luckily, a colleague chimed in.
The hotel was gorgeous. They made good use of the space. The high ceilings and the bold colors reminded me of a Vegas casino, but without the flashiness. The landscaping was beautiful, even in October. I can only imagine how lovely it would be in the spring.

Location.
Paying daily charge for internet services - no wireless in room; expensive parking.
Great (big) hotel! Clean, well serviced, friendly staff. The parking is very expensive but the Metro is right out front. Too bad there is no wireless in the rooms.

The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and well kept.
Extremely busy hotel catering more for business travelers.
This hotel is one which caters primarily for conferences and business travelers. It is very large in size and at first can be confusing to find your way around. I would not recommend this hotel for someone wanting a relaxing or romantic stay.

Friendly service at all times, helpful, polite & terrific, comfortable room.
Our 5th floor room overlooked an area where trucks loaded & unloaded with a fair amount of noise at 3 & 5 AM.
The hotel was beautiful. The staff seemed to be everywhere & ready to help with anything. The room was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. It was convenient to the metro. The only draw back was the location on our room that overlooked the delivery & garbage pick up area. There was a lot of noise around 3AM & again at 5AM. Typically lasting for 15 minutes, just short of what would have made me call to complain. Otherwise it was an extremely nice hotel. The grounds were also very well manicured. read more
