Helpful desk staff.
Its location is five or six underground stops from the city center.
This is an adequate hotel for a business traveler arriving by train at Vienna's Westbahnhof. There are no tourist attractions or good restaurants in the area; one must travel by taxi or public transportation to enjoy what Vienna has to offer.

Lobby and staff were nice.
Level of quality in room did not match the lobby - no A/C.
It looks like it a 4 star when you walk in the lobby, but you quickly realize once you get on your floor that it will not be that way upstairs. The room size, features, and condition are fine. just don't pay (or expect) a lot from this hotel. Also, the lack of A/C or any ventilation was a problem. Sure, you can open a window but you're on a very noisy street next to the train station. The location next to the station is great, but it's a bit far to walk to the tourist areas. If you get a good price, stay here. If you want a nice comfortable room, stay elsewhere. read more

Hotel had a nice center location.
I thought I read there was a pool, but when we got there was only a sauna. I bit of a let down being that everything was closed down for x-mass.
Over all the staff, the room and the location were all great. The only minor complaint is that there was no pool (which I thought was written up on-line) and that our cable was out for several hours. It's fair to mention that I stayed over Christmas, so everything was shut down leaving us tied up inside more than usual while on vacation. I would recommend this hotel, especially for business trips. read more

The hotel is clean and a three minute walks to the west train station.
Wireless internet available only at extra cost and only in the lobby.
This is a small, moderately upscale hotel in a phenomenal location across the street from the west bah huff. The guests are mainly German-speaking middle aged and middle class, and accordingly the staff's English, though functional, is limited. Breakfast is also an up sell and not included in room price. Clean, smallish rooms, some with nice views of the square. Wireless internet is available at extra cost, but only in the lobby. Surprisingly good German restaurant next door. Convenient to all street car and u-bah lines, and a very short two block walk to the trendy mariahilferstrasse shopping district. The main selling point of this hotel is location. Everything else about it is acceptable but not great. read more

I could check-in early, staff spoke English well. Very close to a major train station.
The air-conditioning didn't work and the window barely opened. It was hot and stuffy!
Good value. Not the most central location but next to major train station, with very quick subway rides to the center. Courteous staff. Small but pleasant and very clean room, I could recommend this strongly in cool weather (or warm if they fix the air-conditioning.

Great breakfast buffet. Upscale facility. Next to Westbahnhof.
The concierge didn't know his stuff and misguided us. Twice.
Except for the unknowledgeable concierge, this was a friendly, convenient, elegant hotel, with rooms in a wide price range, allowing a traveler to choose a small but nice room or a luxurious suite or anything in between.
