Description of Castillo Santa Cecilia
Gazing up at the gray battlements of the castle-like Castillo de Santa Cecilia, can be daunting. Once inside, the first impression of heaviness evaporates and its repaled by a friendly reception staff and a charming interior surrounding that includes palatial guestrooms, with luxurious ammenities. Outside, expansive lawn and gardens extend to silver mines and remmants of a 17th century wall. The strains of live music drift from the intimate colonial bar or a more rousing nightclub. Business meeting up to 300, swimming pool, historic chapel. The pure fact that it was a castle.
The odor coming throught the bedroom windows.

Let's just say that we were not that impressed with the hotel service and prices. We had a terrible view and the odor was horrible.

I pretty much only liked the architecture of the hotel.
I did not like anything from inside of the room.

The hotel was really gross it had bugs and blood on the sheets the other reviews are really true I thought they were just making stuff up but it is really true.

The view was great and the staff was helpful but not always competent.
The beds were terribly hard. It was (literally) a cement slab with a 5 inch mattress.

The hotel was very romantic and beautiful. The food was good but service slow. The prices were the same as in the U.S. The only bad thing was the bed made of a cement slab with a bed skirt over it. Unbelievable! Then a 5 inch mattress that helped but we were only able to sleep for small intervals due to the hardness.
