The sheets weren't that itchy and the beds themselves were very comfy!
All of the walls could use a fresh coat of paint or a magic eraser taken to them.

It was much nicer than I expected, right off the express way and easy travel to get the Gas coastal islands. The staff were friendly and they have hot waffles for breakfast!

Walked in to hotel and it felt like the AC was off in the lobby. Checked in and went headed to my 2nd floor room and elevator was extremely slow and smelled thick with cigarette smoke, even though there was a no smoking sign on the elevator wall. 2nd floor hallway was probably 95 degrees with two AC units, one on each end of hall running max cool. Rooms were cool and AC was working fine in them. Pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The one queen bed rooms were tiny and not even a table/cabinet for the mini fridge microwave, they were just stacked on top of each other. Friends that were with us got a 2 queen bed room and it was a lot nicer. Same price so I should have got that one. Meet some other friends the next day at breakfast I didn't know were staying there as well, they also complained about the bed and said they would not return, nor will I. read more

Breakfast was horrible, bed was extremely hard.

The hotel was okay. The lobby was clean and so was the room. However the clerks were not familiar with the check in procedure, and the check out I had to find the clerk to check out. Breakfast was awful. Presentation was lacking. Donuts were still in their container and everything was just thrown on the bar.

It was close to nearby stores. One within walking distance.
No coffee in room but
I was available in the lobby.

This was our 2nd stay at this location. The one problem we had was a draw that would not work. Also the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working. I would stay here again, due to the price and the staff is friendly and polite and the place is kept clean.

Ther were no outlets in room available. We had to unplug microwave and use 1 in the bathroom.
Lack of outlets was a problem for phone charging and computer.

Very nice with all the extras you could imagine. Friendly staff and nice rooms.
It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room.

This hotel is wonderful. The rooms were clean, they had free continental breakfast, and the motel location was ideal for travel to the beaches. Overall, we were very satisfied. We will be back this summer.

The parking lot was well lighted, the stairs were close to parking, the water was hot.
The bed was too hard, the walls in the room were very dirty.

I would not stay at a Microtel again. They need to paint the walls with a paint that can be cleaned. I carried Lysol with me for the bathroom, but would have like to clean the walls too. The bed was too hard and the pillows too flat.

Location, cleanliness and staff friendly & helpful
bed was a bit firmer than I would have liked.

Check in was quick and convienent, the room was clean and comfortable and the bath spotless .
