The concierge was helpful.
We were put in a smoking room, awful!
It cost $80.00 to park for the weekend! That is ridiculous! We had to stay in a smoking room which was disgusting. We didn't receive any help with our bags. Continental breakfast was $18.00! So much for getting a deal.

The lobby was beautiful.
Very dirty bathroom and dusty room.
The hotel was in a convenient location and the building looked to be in good condition. The staff were friendly. Upon entering my room, it looked filthy and dusty. There was hair in the bathtub that did not belong to me and the hair dryer was filled with hair of various colors. The floor had unsightly stains. The room itself was very dusty and was badly in need of an update. The television looked to be straight out of 1991 with the colors looking close to grey scale, not to mention it looking like a magnet had been placed on top of it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When leaving, I asked for a late check out and was given only 30 minutes. After leaving I went to pick up my car for valet and was charged $40 to have my car stay overnight and I also found a new scratch on my car after it's night at the hotel parking. read more

It was pretty, old Hollywood elegance.
There is no self park and the valet is $40 a night!
This hotel itself is very pretty. The lobby is gorgeous. But it has all of the original 1940/50's fixtures in the rooms. The rooms are very small and haven't been updated. Internet access is not free and there is no self-parking. The valet is $40 a night.

Beautiful lobby area.
Noise and no dinning past 10 pm even room service!
I wouldn't stay again! $40 dollar valet parking is your only option for parking.

The amazing ceilings in the lobby and the location.
Dust on top of the TV stand.
Very nice place to stay with everything in Downtown walking distance away.

Historic, central, beautiful architecture, freeway & subway close.
Parking price.
All the reviewers complaining of the small bathroom size are whining about nothing! If you want a big bath room with a bidet please fly to New York and go check into the Waldorf Astoria, penthouse suite! If you just need a clean bathroom to drop off the kids and to shower up, then this place is just fine! Get over it, people! What little interaction I had with staff was pleasant. Forgot my toothpaste, so I called room service to see if they could bring up a small travel tube of toothpaste. They brought it up in 2 minutes, no problem. The hotel architecture and history is to die for ! Absolutely wonderful! read more

Historic, prestigious.
Rooms, fixtures, bathroom very dated - may be due to trying to preserve the hotel.
When I think of the Baltimore I think of a very prestigious hotel. The general atmosphere was very nice but the rooms were very out dated.
