The lobby was beautiful.
The hotel rooms were in need of a remodeled and and the A/C did not work well.
It is a nice, quiet safe place to stay, I just wish the rooms were much more up to date in regard to furniture and bathroom fixtures and decor.

Free shuttle to Duke University, and a friendly staff.
One unhappy shuttle van driver.
A good hotel with excellent restaurants and bar area. Very pretty lobby and entrance, spotlessly clean. Nice, well-appointed rooms but the bed in our room had reached the end of its useful life.

Room service was good and prices were reasonable.
Room smelled a bit musty.
The staff members were great and the restaurant staff always greeted me even when I wasn't eating there (while I was passing through). This hotel has a nice and inviting lobby area. The room service was not overly expensive so it made eating in very convenient.

The front desk was very helping to suggesting places to eat and even took the time to write out directions as well has hand me a magazine with suggested restaurants. Very nice.

Staff was friendly.
One room I stayed in was musty smelling.
Hotel staff was pleasant. Rooms are a little dated. One room I stayed in during my second visit last week was very musty smelling. Cell phones do not work in that hotel. Internet signal is weak and Internet is a bit slow.
