Location was excellent.
Low quality rooms, bad breakfast.
The Best Western of Monroe, MI is a good take if you are looking for a good location and are not picky about your accommodations.

We would never stay there again.
Missing remote missing light bulbs.
This was not what we expected at all we found out the next day our room was not supposed to be rented, I bet you only hear the bad ones but we have praised all but this one.

Nothing.
Small rooms, extremely uncomfortable beds.
Aside from the convenient location and I have nothing positive to say about this property. The rooms and the televisions are very small and the beds were like sleeping on a park bench.

In good condition. Friendly front desk staff.
A hairy bed linen, poor internet reception, flies on breakfast foods.
For basic accommodation, the rooms are in good shape and it was quiet and everything worked (except the internet, which required a hotel-provided external antenna). Front desk staff was pleasant. I went to eat breakfast, which was still available at 10:30 - but there were flies and insects on the food (both covered and uncovered).

The bed was very comfortable. I slept very well.
They promised us a king size bed before coming, but gave us a double. They were out of breakfast nearly half our stay time (at 9 am).
When we arrived at the hotel, we got our room keys to find out it was a double. We did not say anything to them about it. They also ran out of nearly everything for breakfast (four out of seven days). They have a good selection if they have everything available. They have cereal, fruit, oatmeal, juices, muffins, doughnuts, waffles, French toast, bagels, and toast. They serve breakfast from 5:30 am to 10 am. We slept in a couple of mornings (vacation) and did not get breakfast till 9 am. They were almost completely out of everything. When we asked about it, they seemed like they didn't care about it at all. The cleaning staff is really nice and did a good job. The pool is nice, but very small. read more

The close proximity to highways.
That we did not get a room with a king bed. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds.
Nice, clean hotel. Good value for the money.

Location.
Noise level.
The noise level was horrible. Every hotel resident who checked in or out was heard in this hotel. You could hear conversations of other guests all night long. We stayed on the ground level and the stairway for the second floor was right next to our room. We could hear luggage pulled down the stairway all night long. Neither my husband nor I slept at all that night. The room smells of old spice and the parking lot was active with other hoteliers all night long. read more
