I enjoyed the lofted room and the front desk staff was helpful and comical.
The room was too cold on arrival but it was the summer. The air condition worked well.
I think this hotel is a cheaper option in downtown Baltimore that is close to the inner harbor. My stay was only a night so it served its purpose. I think it would be a good option for long term stay. The hallways were a bit noisy but all-in-all good service and free breakfast buffet style with some moderately good options. I would recommend this hotel if you want to save some money to spend the inner harbor. read more

The management staff were very responsive and helpful.
The room was not cleaned each day and towels not replenished.
The hotel is small and quaint and has a welcoming atmosphere. The food served in the cafeteria was very good. However, the cleaning staff is severely understaffed. Clean sheets and towels were not a daily event and I wouldn't put my clothes on the ironing board cover.

It is a nicely remodeled older hotel with lots of character in a historic neighborhood.
AC could have been better.

Friendly and polite staff, attentive and helpful.
Near the edge of a rougher neighborhood.
The staff were all kind and courteous, the facilities were clean, nicely furnished and up to date, and worked well with the smallish rooms.

Good budget accomodations.
Area around the hotel seems to be on the upswing. Lots of remodeling and improvements. Felt safe (as much as you can in a city). Room was a loft which had an upstairs section with sofa bed. Tons of room in both updaters and downstairs section.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and available 24 hrs. My room & bath were very clean. It is conveniently located and easy to find.
I really can't comment.
Well located and easy to find. Can basically walk anywhere in downtown area. The lobby was unremarkable but neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and was available around the clock. The rooms and baths were very clean which is important to me. The usual amenities such as TV. are there. They actually provide many large, fluffy towels for guests' use! This hotel is not the Four Seasons, but I would certainly recommend it. read more

The price.
I felt like I was going to get mugged as soon as I stepped out of the hotel.
I went to Baltimore for the weekend to see a couple of baseball games. The Mount Vernon Hotel was the only hotel near the Inner Harbor for a reasonable rate. The hotel room itself was ok. It was nothing special but I had no complaints about the room. The area around the hotel though is horrible. I didn't feel safe at all in the area the hotel was in. We thought we would be able to walk everywhere we needed to go because of the proximity to the Inner Harbor but it was around a half hour walk that was very uncomfortable. Like I said the room was ok but if you stay here plan on taking cabs everywhere. read more
